April Haul + Handy Tips

April's haul has been primarily stuff from Shein and Target with a random purchase from Amazon, Walmart, Old Navy, and H&M.

Firstly, my mom wanted a new windbreaker so I tried looking on Shein for one but they unfortunately all did not work out. I, however, ended up ordering and keeping a bunch of things from them since it is so hard to resist their low prices. I've also really been into jumpers lately too so ordered several to try on as well as a mix of tops, bottoms, and dresses:

None of the windbreakers worked out for here but here they are. :)

Left: Shein Flap Pocket Drop Shoulder Drawstring Hooded Jacket. Right: Old Navy Long-Sleeve Vintage Cropped Hoodie.

I really wanted a hoodie/jacket from Madewell but it was unfortunately sold out so I was happy to find a similar one from both Shein and Old Navy. Though I like the shoulders of the Shein one more, the Old Navy one is of better quality and I prefer the diagonal pockets so I kept that one instead. The only reason I came across the Old Navy one is because I fell for an ad for the cutest smiley-face sandals, which I'm so glad I got since they're really comfortable too, but I did have to size down from a kids' 3/4 to 1/2, surprisingly. The T-strap sandal fit well but isn't very comfortable but the $3 and change price led me to keep them.

Top: Shein Solid Asymmetrical Top. Shorts: Target Girls' Vintage Mid-Rise Cut Off Jean Shorts. Sandals left to right: Old Navy Faux-Leather Pool Slide Sandals, Sugarcane-Blend T-Strap Flip Flops in Black Jack and on White.

Here's a cute waffle hoodie from Gap Factory that I thought is cute but the sleeves were slightly long on me since it's not petite:

I randomly saw this flower plate on H&M that I really wanted so I ordered some girls' pants to get free ship:

Pants left to right: Loose Fit High Waist Pants in Khaki Green and Black, Wide High Stretch Jeans

I also ordered a few pieces from Aerie but didn't love them enough to keep:

Left to right: Offline by Aerie Weekend Ribbed Trim Sweatshirt, Offline by Aerie Goals High Waisted Scallop Bike Short, Aerie Down-To-Earth Oversized SweatshirtOffline by Aerie Sherpa Speckled Jacket, Offline by Aerie Sherpa Lined Puffer Bomber Jacket.

While in Philly last month, we did go to Walmart, Target and also the outlets but the only thing I picked up were these cute overalls from Walmart, which I am currently in to, and some soft sweatshirts from Target :)
1. Newspaper weeds away: Start putting in your plants, work the nutrients in your soil. Wet newspapers, put layers around the plants overlapping as you go. Cover with mulch and forget about weeds. Weeds will get through some gardening plastic, but they will not get through wet newspapers.

2. Broken Glass: Use a wet cotton ball or Q-tip to pick up the small shards of glass you can't see easily.

3. Flexible vacuum: To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an empty paper towel roll or empty gift wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be bent or flattened to get in narrow openings.

4. Foggy Windshield: Hate foggy windshields? Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove box of your car When the windows fog, rub with the eraser! Works better than a cloth!

5. Re-opening envelopes: If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an hour or two. Viola! It unseals easily.
