It's a new year and of course I start this month off with tons of shopping... more than enough to make up for the lack of shopping I did over the last half year. I was both heavily influenced on social media and on the hunt for specific items, which led me to get stuff from a whopping eight different places so this will be a long one.
Here are the items that sparked my shopping and how everything subsequently spiraled out of control:
1. Athletic Double Layer Shorts - I saw these really cute Spanx Booty Boost Double Layer Shorts on an influencer who said they were on sale but I felt they were still way too expensive. It made me realize I don't have shorts that would be good for handball and these would be perfect since they have a bike short underneath so I found dupes on Amazon and ordered four of them. I ended up liking two of them and am so happy I got them for a fraction of the price.
Speaking of handball, I've been eyeing the popular Lululemon belt bag that everyone seems to have now and searched for and found a dupe on Amazon that is definitely cheaper material but has the same look. I wanted black so returned the brown for black.

2. Rain Booties - I've been on the hunt for a cute pair of Chelsea rain booties for a while so when I saw an ad for these
Sam Edelman ones on Instagram, I loved how they looked and ordered them to try since there are free returns. They are unfortunately a whole size larger than my usual size 5 but I like how comfortable and lightweight they are so will wear these with thick socks.
3. Sweatpants - I loved these sweatpants I saw on an influencer and immediately ordered them along with other items to meet free ship from American Eagle Outfitters. I loved these plaid mom shorts so much that I had to place a new order with more items since I needed to size up to get them to fit (The 000 was too snug on me).
4. Sweatshirts - I saw this Lululemon sweatshirt and Summersalt sweatshirt on two influencers that I follow on Instagram and loved how they both looked so ordered them to try but I couldn't get over how much they each cost so decided to search for dupes on Shein since my last order was so successful. I saw a lot of cute stuff and added way more to my cart than necessary.

5. Target - I am always seeing great finds by influencers from Target and since I shop there constantly, I tend to add them to my cart pretty quickly and these tanks, joggers, shorts, and shirts were a result of that.
 |
I love the cut of these Slim Fit Tank Tops and picked them up in all these staple colors in XS from left to right: White, Light Purple, Brown, Dark Gray, and Black.

I ordered this in another color because I like how soft this Raglan Flannel is :) |
6. Vests - First off was my search for warm vests that I can play handball in since we've been playing even in below freezing temperature and I realize a warm puffer vest would be perfect. I saw a cropped one on an influencer and loved it so got one from Amazon and one from Shein to compare. The Shein fits much more slim, while the Amazon one is more puffy and loose and can be layered over coats as well. With all the Amazon returns I'm making at Kohl's, I've been earning Kohl's cash so spent it to get a Sherpa girls' vest for just $0.65! Another influencer shared this Zella vest that looked so cute on her so I had to try it too but it was unfortunately way too big on my small frame. I then ordered two boy's ones from Old Navy too and a bunch of other things like leggings and tops to meet free ship. Lastly, I ordered a petite one from ASOS that seemed like a more petite version of the Zella one.

Speaking of Kohl's cash, these two tanks were also almost free thanks to Amazon returns as well ($5 Kohl's cash for every Amazon drop-off you do).

I also saw a post that Kohl's Nine West boots were on major sale so I snagged 3 pairs for $30 each and gave 2 to my mom. :) |
7. Winter Jacket - I saw an influencer wearing the popular Orolay jacket that I wrote about here that I actually returned since I didn't love how I felt like a large marshmallow in it when not wearing heels. It made me regret returning it so I looked it up and saw they make new versions now so decided to order two to try in cute pastel colors. They unfortunately sent the pink in the wrong size (2XL instead of 2XS) but I didn't like either more than the original. I actually preferred the original's fleece-lined hood and pockets more.
8. Sweaters - I saw influencers posting about this
Free People dupe and wanted to see how it fit - it actually fit nicely but I preferred
this crossover style to it.
Lastly, these are snaps from the few road trips we took last year, which were almost all from Philly. Looking forward to hopefully more vacations this year.
