December Haul + Baked Fish Fillets Recipe

I didn't shop much the month of December except for a Target coat that caught my eye, two A&F sweaters, and a bunch of blazers and pants that were on crazy sale when I popped into H&M one day. I can never resist a blazer that fits and hope to be able to put them to good use later this year. A surprised me on Christmas with a cute pink pair of UGG booties that are much cuter on than the traditional shape. I didn't purchase them but thought they deserved a spot here. :)

Left to right: Flannel shirt, Tie-Dye Hoodie, Chenille Sweater, Puff-Sleeve Sweater, all XXS.

I placed an order with Abercrombie after being influenced by Insta and ended up really liking the two sweaters on the right, which are a similar pretty seafoam green color.

Left: Patagonia Down Parka in girls L.

This Patagonia girls down parka caught my eye on a Nordstrom ad and I ordered it on a whim to try but when it arrived, my mom liked it and claimed it for herself. :D
I really like how lightweight it is but can't attest to how warm it feels when out in the cold.
This Target puffer  jacket also caught my eye on an influencer on Insta and is a throwback to the past as my mom exclaimed she had one just like it in blue back in the day. :)

Left to right: Blazer, Sweater, Cardigan.

I had some LOFT/Ann Taylor credit so ordered this blazer and these two sweaters to try and actually really ended up loving the texture and fit of the double-breasted blazer. I also ordered two coats but didn't realize Ann Taylor fits so much bigger than me than LOFT even in size XXS Petite so they didn't work out.

2nd & 3rd: Straight-cut jacket. 4th: Jacket with gathered sleeves. 5th: Shawl-collar jacket, all XXS.

When I popped into H&M to make a return earlier this month, they were having a huge winter sale in store with tons of items marked down such as these blazers, which are all still full price online. I picked up a bunch of these for myself, my mom, and sister, and a few pairs of girls pants that will be nice and comfy for work in the Spring/Summer.

Here's a quick and easy baked fish fillet recipe that I would definitely make again:

BAKED FISH FILLETS
Ingredients:
4 white fish fillets such as flounder, fluke, or pollack (about 1.25 lb total)
salt
pepper
3-1/3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tablespoons lemon juice (from 1 large lemon)
1 tablespoon capers, drained and rinsed
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375degrees. Butter the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2. Arrange fish in dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper on both sides. Dot with 1/2 tablespoon butter.
3. Bake until fish becomes opaque and tender when pierced with tip of paring knife, about 10 minutes.
4. While fish is baking, melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in lemon juice, capers, then drizzle on fish to serve.
Serves 4.
