Shopping Lately + Corn with Miso Butter

I've been so busy lately with baby A that everything has fallen by the wayside, though I have been shopping quite a lot lately that may have to do with the changing of the seasons. The hauls for July, August, and September will be posted soon but it's tough with a toddler who sleeps on the bed you take photos on. :)

I took a quick trip to Urban Outfitters, where I tried on a bunch of cute stuff that I ended up purchasing online since they didn't have what I wanted in my size in stores.

Left to right: Cooperative Tie-Front Striped Mini Dress in Dark Blue size S and Blue & White XS, Kimchi Blue Rae Poplin Stright-Neck Dress in XS, Silence + Noise Jackson Strapless Culotte Jumpsuit in Cream Multi XS
I was drawn to the Cooperative Tie-Front Striped Mini Dress as soon as I saw it and decided to try it on despite the lack of adjustable straps, which usually means a bad fit since straps are always too long on me. However, these were only a tad too long and the adjustable tie in the front helps with making it fit more snugly on me. I liked both colors and decided to order the Dark Blue online to try it on in the right size. The Kimchi Blue Rae Poplin Stright-Neck Dress fits much more snugly on the body than the Coorperative one so I recommend it if you're looking for a casual yet more form-fitting dress. The Silence + Noise Jackson Strapless Culotte Jumpsuit in Cream Multi was cute on the hanger but definitely too big for me once I put it on but it's definitely a cute style for taller ladies.

Out from Under Don't Wait Cozy Fleece Jogger Pant in Black size S
I picked these pants up on the way to the fitting room because they looked shorter in length and were so soft. I absolutely love items that are soft on the inside as well as the outside because honestly, I'd rather be feeling the nice fabric on the body myself rather than touching myself to feel the nice fabric (hah). I recommend these if you're looking for nice comfy lounge pants that you can also wear out but note the Black color is really a dark heather grey in person. I'm also wearing my London Rebel Flat Leather Mule Sandal from ASOS in size 5 which I absolutely love because they are so comfy!

Summer's over but it's still warm enough to grill a few more times. Over the summer, A and I started grilling and the corn with miso butter I made was a hit. Here's the easy recipe:

Miso Butter Corn
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 tablespoon miso
4 ears of corn, husked
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Kosher salt
Directions:
Mix butter and miso in a small bowl. Rub corn with oil; season with salt. Grill over medium-high heat, turning often, until lightly charred and tender, about 5 minutes. Spread corn with miso butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Our new grill! :)
