February Haul + Winter Wedding Wear

Now that it's Spring, I feel like it's time for a fresh change and am really feeling the colors olive and melon right now. :)

Although it's finally Spring, it still feels like winter out though you can surely tell the weather is slowly getting warmer, unlike the weather two weekends ago when I attended a friend's wedding. I thought the weather would be nice but it was extremely cold that night, leaving me worrying over what to wear - tights or no tights? I was still debating this question a mere three hours before the wedding when I realized I had purchased a floor-length dress that would be perfect! I bought it all the way back in November 2015 when I posted about it here and berated myself for not getting it shortened after I bought it but was so lucky my local tailor was able to do it in an hour!

Dress: Sleeveless Long Mesh Dress with Corded Lace. Bag: Chanel Boy Wallet on Chain. Vest: A/X Armani Exchange (old but similar here). Jacket: Topshop (old but similar here).
It's perfect for a cold weather wedding because it's long and because of the length, I decided to wear a short leather jacket topped with a fur vest to balance out the proportions. Though it was cold out, I felt perfectly warm in this so I should try to layer more often! A longer styled coat would be too much on my small frame and to stay extra warm in the car, I wore a blanket scarf that I did not take with me inside.

My purchases from Old Navy and Kenneth Cole mentioned here along with this super cute braided tie bikini set from J.Crew are the only things I purchased this month:

I also randomly received a gift card from J.Crew and also one from Barneys that I used to get this Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Leather Cardholder, which I'm loving more than my Chanel one now. I have no idea why I was lucky enough to receive these but I'm not complaining!

  1. You are really getting the complete package when you have a wedding at NYC wedding venues: a unique space, with an incredible view; and amazing food from start to finish. The best decision one can made is to book this place.
