Baby A in her 1 month OOTD! |
 |
Me trying to look put together even though I'm exhausted in this Aeropostale dress mentioned here with a squirming Baby A. :) |
Luckily, I was pretty prepared and will share tips soon. I had no idea my water had broke and I would have Baby A that very night so I was making these Whole Wheat Nutty Waffles, which were delicious and I'm so sad I was only able to eat only one before heading to my doctor's appointment, where I found out my water actually did break. I think it'll be a birthday breakfast tradition for her. Here's the recipe!
NUTTY WHOLE WHEAT WAFFLES |
|
Ingredients: |
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup whole wheat flour |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 cups reduced-fat milk |
6 tablespoons vegetable oil |
2 large eggs |
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans, walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts |
|
Directions: |
1. Put all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine until well blended and smooth. |
2. Let batter sit 5 minutes before proceeding. |
3. Preheat your Cuisinart Classic Waffle Maker on setting #3 (or any waffle maker!). |
4. Pour 1/2 cup batter onto the center of the lower grid and spread evenly using a heat-proof spatula. |
5. Close cover of waffle maker and carfefully remove when done. Repeat with remaining batter. |
6. For best results, serve immediately but can also keep waffles warm in a 200 degree oven until ready to serve. |
|
Makes ~8 round waffles. |
