Caseology Phone Cases + Cauliflower Cheddar Bacon Bites

Image
Ever since I've gotten the iPhone 6S, I haven't mentioned the phone cases I've been using. The very first one I purchased was the Otterbox Strada because I cracked my screen twice prior to getting this new phone and I was wary of doing it yet again to my brand new phone. I definitely recommend this case because it's super sturdy yet slim and also has a flap cover that makes it feel super safe when just throwing it into a purse that has keys or other sharp objects in it. Here's some pics of me using it here and here . At the same time, I did also pick up two Caseology cases, the Skyfall Series in Silver and the Envoy series in Navy . I actually love both of these and use them over the Otterbox Strada now since they are slimmer and less cumbersome yet I still feel my phone is well protected. They're also cheaper combined than the Otterbox Strada ! I chose the Skyfall Series in Silver because I wanted a clear case to finally see the color of my phone and I'

Cuyana + &otherstories Bags!

I forgot to mention one of my favorite and least expensive purchases from my Paris/London trip here ! My BFF and I stopped by &otherstories while in London and it was the first time we stepped into this super cute and cool store. I left with this small little bag, which I absolutely adore and has been super useful to me lately when I have to run out the door and only need a small bag for wallet, keys, phone, and lip gloss. Cuyana is also a great brand that I've been following that opened up a pop-up shop here in NYC over the holidays. They had a few events that offered free monogramming and I happily took part in it in order to get a monogram with "A <3 B". Cuyana Leather Laptop Sleeve in Blush 13" As you already know from December's haul here , I did end up deciding on the blush pink laptop sleeve but it was a hard decision to make since everything is of high quality leather and is so soft. Cuyana may open a brick-and-mortar store here in N

Sorel Tivoli II Low vs High + Salad Dressing

Image
Knowing this year will be very cold and how my North Face 'Alana Boots' from three years ago  didn't quite hold up in cold temperatures, I decided to try Sorel's boots. Coat: J.Crew Petite J.Crew Chateau Parka in Stadium-Cloth . Boots: Tivoli II Boots in Quarry, Curry, and Black. I headed to the store thinking I would purchase the Tivoli II Boots in Quarry but was very surprised to realize I liked the Tivoli High II Boots in Curry much more on me, which is also good because the extra height adds a lot of warmth. :)   Left: Tivoli II Boots in Curry. Right: Tivoli High II Boots in Curry. I was very surprised because I thought the shorter one would look better but in actuality, the taller version helps to elongate my legs more. Coat: J.Crew Petite J.Crew Chateau Parka in Stadium-Cloth . Boots: Tivoli II Boots and Tivoli High II Boots in Curry. I got to test it out over the past few days when it started to snow and they're definitely super warm

Organizing Make-Up + Cheeseburger Casserole

With the beginning of the new year, I decided to tidy up the cubby shelf space I use to store and use my make-up in the morning. After stashing away things I don't use on a daily basis, there is so much more room to spread out what I do need to use everyday so everything's within quick and easy reach in the mornings when I have minimal time to get out the door. It just feels so much better now to have everything neat and ready in one spot and helps in being a great start to my day. I haven't mentioned it before but I did receive the Christian Louboutin 'Scarabee I' Nail Colour for my birthday over the summer and I absolutely love how the color looks on because it shimmers in different lighting and can look pink or gold, depending on the angle and lighting. It's also super pretty and handy to use to hold rings as you can see it's doing for me. While on the subject of tidying up, I also organized my nightstand, which makes me feel so much better when

Shoe Thoughts + Delicious Hamburger Stew

Image
I've found some shoe hits and misses from 2015 that I haven't shared yet so here's a quick and random mix of shoe musings: 1. My summer sandals are breaking and I'm so sad! I've been looking for a replacement since last year and hope to find one this summer! I've noticed I'm moving away from the beloved flip-flops I used to always wear to more structured sandals over the past few years. 2. Jack Roger's 'Lauren' Sandals are so cute but weren't comfortable in the front for me and were just a tad too long in the foot but they are definitely beautiful. If they were super comfy, I definitely would have loved to keep.   3. Fei Yue's Fe Lo Mesh Sneaker is exactly what I was looking for in a summer sneaker that's cute and easy to match with yet breathable. :) 4. Vince Camuto's 'Carlotte' Pointy Toe Pump is super cute so I debated a bit but they're a bit too big to keep. :( Here's a super deliciou

December Haul + Leftover Turkey Salad

Image
Here's December's Haul as promised, in which I only bought a sweater, a pair of winter boots, and a laptop bag. :) I've been looking for a warm and waterproof pair of winter boots since I don't have a pair that is warm enough. I haven't had a chance to test them out yet but I'm really hoping these Sorel Tivoli High II Boots hold up. I also just want to mention I love my new Cuyana Leather Laptop Sleeve . The leather is high quality and is so soft. One of the main reasons I actually purchased it though is for the monogram I put on it - A <3 B :) Here's a good way to use up some leftover turkey: LEFTOVER TURKEY SALAD Ingredients: 1-1/2 cups leftover turkey, shredded or cubed 1/4 cup nonfat Greek yogurt 1 slice cookd turkey bacon, cooked and chopped 1 teaspoon yellow mustard 1 teaspoon dijon mustard 2 tablespoons low fat sharp cheddar salt and pepper to taste Directions: 1. Combine all ingredients in bowl. 2. Chill and serve cold.

November Haul + Fish & Chips

Image
Here's to catching up in the new year with November's Haul and December's Haul to come shortly: I've posted several times on the Petite J.Crew Chateau Parka in Stadium-Cloth here and here but never mentioned this Anthropologie Hei Hei Vegan Leather Bomber which I like very much because it's so fitted and looks really cute on as a cropped jacket. While in an Anthropologie, I also spotted these cute Gilded Monogram DOF Glasses and quickly bought a pair for myself and A. :) Here's a yummy and healthy recipe for Fish & Chips :) BRIETTA'S FISH & CHIPS Prep: 10 minutes Bake: 35 minutes Ingredients: 1 lb potatoes 2 tablespoons olive oil 1/4 teaspoons pepper 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 egg 2 tablespoons water 2/3 crushed cornflakes 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 lb haddock or cod fillets tartar sauce, optional Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. 2. Peel and
