China Trip + Flight Essentials

I went on a business trip again for eleven days last month and it was the longest time I've been away on one. It honestly happened too soon after the wedding and I had to change hotels almost every single day so I'm so happy to finally be able to relax at home on the weekends now. :)
I made my ears with an old plain black headband and pink furry cloth stuffed with some cotton. I did the same for my tail, of which I re-purposed the halter string from an old dress to tie the tail around my waist, tucked into the waistband of my skirt.
I actually landed the day before Halloween and was able to spend it with a friend in Hong Kong before work started in China. It was so crazy crowded when we tried to go out and I felt like I was with superstars since people kept asking us to stop and take pictures with them since our friend was dressed as No-Face from Spirited Away.

I also, of course, spent my limited time in Hong Kong shopping and eating my way around so here's a few pics of that:

Shopping at 6IXTY 8IGHT, where there was a huge sale and all of these were under $10!
About to enjoy a buffet breakfast of dim-sum at the beautiful Hyatt hotel with my dear friend and make-up artist for my wedding, Helena from High Hide.
My amazing friend offered me 50% off anything I wanted from Lane Crawford and I surprisingly and amazingly only ended up purchasing the above Coach Tamera pumps on the left and the Saint Laurent SL19 sunnies below. I was tempted but passed on the Stuart Weitzman Naked Sandals on the right here.

Left: trying on super comfy sandals at Monki because my feet hurt. Right: Shopping for a new bag for A and I actually ended up finding one I love for him below!
This pretty Prada Camo Nylon Medium Messenger Bag was way over the budget I had in mind but I decided to splurge on this Christmas/Anniversary gift for him and I absolutely love the twist store in Hong Kong, which actually sells it (and many other designer bags) for much less than it goes for here!
After this short but sweet bit of fun, it's time for work work work...

Here are some work OOTDs.. I didn't notice until posting that the mirrored elevator really distorts my shoes! Left to right: Pink Forever 21 shirt, Longchamp Le Pliage Cuir Handbag, H&M Textured Jersey Skirt, and Old Navy blazer. Shoes worn throughout: Saks Fifth Avenue leather pumps.
With coworker in the pretty lobby. Top: Banana Republic. Bottom: H&M Textured Jersey Skirt. Shoes: Saks Fifth Avenue leather pumps.
Waiting outside a factory in my new sunnies. :)
Top: Banana Republic. Bottoms: American Eagle Outfitters. Saks Fifth Avenue leather pumps. Saint Laurent SL19 sunglasses.

I do also want to mention my flight essentials, which I always like to have with me, whether I use them or not:

Clockwise from top left: Neck pilow, TONYMOLY Pandas Dream So Cool Eye Stick, TONYMOLY Pocket Bunny Moist Mist, Eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm.

Leaving you with the quote of the day, "The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence." -Confucius
