J.Crew Chateau Parka Review + Returns Shopping

Image
As requested, here's a more detailed review of the J.Crew Chateau Parka in Stadium-Cloth in size 000P. I decided to also purchase this coat in black to compare it to the dark forest color, and I think I'm ultimately going to keep the dark forest color, which actually looks lighter in person than the photos. J.Crew Chateau Parka in Stadium-Cloth in 000P dark forest I was a bit hesitant to try out this style since many reviews said this coat is huge and unflattering but decided to get it anyway because it looked so cute. I'm glad I did because I don't think it fits big, although I can maybe understand the reviews because the side view is a little bit tent-like and the front is an A-line shape when buttoned up as you can see in these photos but it doesn't bother me and I think it's a rather nice change from the straight-cut wool coat that I own. I like that the fur trim is removable and I did notice that the fur trim that comes with the black is lighter

Bridal Shower + Chicken Parmesan

I haven't had the time to post this yet until now but want to share my absolutely amazing Bridal Shower thrown by my wonderful bridal party. :) Me and my awesome bridal party! Top and skirt: H&M. Shoes: Christian Louboutin 'Gortika' Patent Leather Ankle Booties. Sis & Mom! :) The super cute welcome table! Adorable favors! Amazing cake decorated by my talented cousin! Love love the words of wisdom left by my guests :) Happy! The Chanel club:) Loved the private space we had :) I didn't even want to eat these, they were so cute. Decorated by my friend who also did the calligraphy for my place cards - I highly recommend her! Love my Chanel! Kicking off my shoes on the way home after an amazing day of fun :) And after indulging so much on brunch, here's a recipe for a healthier version of chicken parmesan that's super yummy: CHICKEN PARMESAN Ingredients: 4 oz boneless skinless chicken breast 2

Weekend Shopping + Apple Chips!

Image
Last weekend, A and I went shopping in Jersey, which is a rare occurrence so I was one happy clam. :) My laid-back casual weekend outfit. Love my Nike wedge sneakers. :) Coat: Burberry Girls (old). Bag: Chloe Small 'Paraty' Bag. Jeans: Paige Denim Verdugo Crop . We started off hitting Home Depot and Ikea to take care of some errands before heading to 3 (!) separate shopping malls to find the stores we wanted to stop by. First up was the Nike Factory Store,  which of course was his stop of choice, but I was the one who actually ended up leaving with stuff - ha. Though my favorite color is lime green, I opted for the blue leggings instead (these were girls) as well as the tank (women's) , which totaled just $20 together. :) Next stop was the Banana Republic Factory Store, where I tried on a bunch of sweaters but only left with a crop top. Then, I headed over to H&M, where I got a ton of stuff, including two cropped denim vests for $5 each and a $3 skirt. :)

J.Crew + Loft Reviews

Image
After popping into a LOFT and opening up a credit card as mentioned here , I made another big purchase on their site and I have to say that I am a really big fan of their ponte leggings. I love every single one I got, which were the Petite Ponte Five Pocket Leggings , Petite Faux Leather Leggings , and Petite Seamed Ponte Pants . The two main reasons I love them so much are that no alterations are needed (!) and the material is great. I also really liked this Petite Lattice Mixed Media Sweater , which was the only top I ended up keeping.  I quickly popped into a LOFT last week to make returns and ended up leaving with a shirt (never-ending cycle!) because of their friendsgiving sale with 40% off everything, both online and in stores! Floral Button Back Swing Shell . I'm also wearing my new Petite Ponte Five Pocket Leggings here! This Floral Button Back Swing Shell was in the sale section but only came in XS instead of my usual XXSP but I grabbed it on to try on anyway

September Haul + Dijon Garlic Asparagus

Image
Now that I'm finally back from my honeymoon and business trip, I can try to settle back down to my regular routine, which I'm missing so badly now. Here's September's haul below as well as a great asparagus recipe. :)   My BFF was my MOH, and I'll be hers come May (!). :) Back in August, we went shopping for bridesmaids dresses for her, and I tried this black Sleeveless Long Mesh Dress With Corded Lace on and A liked it on me so much that he actually told me to purchase it myself to wear to future weddings. Here it is below along with another option we tried on, though she ended up choosing a different style for us in the end. :)  Sleeveless Long Mesh Dress With Corded Lace Long Strapless Mesh Dress With Side Draping The rest of the haul is all from outlet shopping during a little family getaway to the Poconos so I really did try to be good in the months leading up to the wedding. :) BRIETTA'S DIJON GARLIC ASPARAGUS Ingredients: 1 lb as
