January Haul + the Bridal Party

Here's this year's first haul for me and I honestly thought I didn't shop but I was wrong.

I do have to say that I love how the Cole Haan 'Arlington' Boots look on. Though they are not as comfortable as I thought they were upon trying them on, I'm hoping the tightness in the front by the pinky toes will feel better after some breaking in since the leather is very stiff. I love the outer zipper detail and the cut at the top of the boot. As mentioned here, the tank top is probably the cheapest tank top I will ever buy at $0.19! But out my purchases made last month,I really love the initial box and plates that I bought from C. Wonder. They were on sale and fit perfectly in my new bathroom (dishes for the double sink) and on my nightstand. :)

I've already found my wedding dress as posted here, but I hadn't finalized my bridesmaids dresses until now. I originally was going for a grey theme as mentioned here, but changed my mind to go with dresses that cost a lot less since I'm providing the bridesmaids dresses as a part of their gift at the suggestion of my MOH. I'd much rather buy them more meaningful gifts rather than spend $200 on a dress they'll probably never wear again so I ended up showing them a few options from David's Bridal's sale section for $49.99 and everyone agreed on the Long Strapless Dress with Side Ruching below. :)

I initially  thought the color would be much more blue since it's called Bluebird and also looks more blue on the website but it's actually more of a periwinkle, which is actually my secret favorite soothing color so decided it's a keeper. My new colors are now periwinkle, silver, peach, and pink, to keep it soft. Here's a peek at the flower girl's Tank Taffeta Tea Length Ball Gown too:

While ordering these items, I also picked up a One Tier Blusher Veil to try on because I'll only be wearing it down the aisle but upon receipt of it, I realize now that the quality of the veil really is important because the material and weight determines how it will hang and flow around you. I quickly returned this blusher, which you can see why below.

I picked up the tab for my MOH's shoes since she's the MOH and she chose two to try. She ended up going with the I. Miller Glendon High Heel Slingback Sandals since they're more comfortable but the Call It Spring Evelaines Peep-Toe Pumps look really great on.

Lastly, my mom is graciously gifting me a diamond necklace for the wedding and in order not to break the bank, I decided on a diamond necklace that has diamonds pieced together and doesn't go all the way around (I had originally wanted a tennis diamond necklace like this) but am really pleased with this one, which is a quarter of the price. I was looking for one that is simple so as not to compete with the busy bodice of my dress. I really love that this piece is also versatile enough to be worn on days after the wedding as well. :)

Leaving you with the quote of the day, "Laziness may appear attractive, but work gives satisfaction. -Anne Frank"
