Ann Taylor Petite Trench Jacket + Sweet & Spicy Almonds

While browsing Ann Taylor's site for their new styles, their Petite Faux Leather Trim Trench Jacket caught my eye and after ordering the 00P and trying it on, I decided to add it to my growing collection of jackets. My reasoning for this piece is that I don't own any short trenches. :) Jacket: Ann Taylor Petite Faux Leather Trim Trench Jacket . Pants: Forever 21 (old but similar here ). Shoes: Gap (old). It fits very well throughout and the faux leather trim at the pockets give it a nice edge that I like a lot. Here's a recipe for Sweet & Spicy Almonds that is a surprisingly really healthy and tasty snack: SWEET & SPICY ALMONDS Ingredients: 2 cups raw almonds 1 tablespoon honey 1/2 teaspoon chipotle 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt Directions: 1. In a skillet over medium heat, toast almonds for 5-6 minutes. 2. Mix remaining ingredients and add to skillet, cooking for about 2 minutes. Stir continuously and coat thoroughly. 33. Transfer

Zella Leggings Review + Stuffed Peppers Recipe

As mentioned here, I couldn't resist shopping Nordstrom's half-yearly sale and one of the last packages to come in are some Zella leggings ( Zella 'Live In' Capris , Zella 'Live In' Streamline Reversible Mesh Inset Capris , Zella Girl 'Freedom'  Leggings ). I noticed a friend raved about them and I find that they're very comfortable and fit well so I'm happy with them so far. :) Tank: H&M. Cardigan: J.Crew. Leggings from left to right: Zella Girl 'Freedom'  Leggings , Zella 'Live In' Streamline Reversible Mesh Inset Capris, Zella 'Live In' Capris. Shoes: BCBG. Here's one of the last few recipes I'll be sharing in a while since I still won't be able to cook due to my home renovations. This one is a healthy recipe for Stuffed Peppers. :) BRIETTA'S STUFFED PEPPERS RECIPE Ingredients: 3 red bell peppers, top or sides cut off and insides removed 8 oz extra lean ground turkey breast 1/2 cup

Alaska Cruise + Big Surprise!

It has been extremely hectic at work lately, which has unfortunately led me to neglect this blog. :( It also didn't help that I went on vacation to Alaska last week and am now going away again to South Africa tomorrow. However, my Alaskan cruise with my family (19 of us!) was an unforgettable experience since A (now my fiancee!) proposed to me at the top of the ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Here are a few snapshots from the trip:   It happened here! Toast :) Mendenhall Glacier The gardens in Juneau :) Heart-shaped! Little ponies! Dog sled ride :)   Our first towel animal! Victoria, B.C. The Legislature Building at night :) I've been meaning to post a review on Ann Taylor's Petite Faux Leather Trim Trench Jacket , which I love! It's a short-length trench jacket with faux leather trim at the zippers, which is exactly what I like to see - classic pieces mixed with a bit of edginess. I don't want
