Ann Taylor Petite Trench Jacket + Sweet & Spicy Almonds

While browsing Ann Taylor's site for their new styles, their Petite Faux Leather Trim Trench Jacket caught my eye and after ordering the 00P and trying it on, I decided to add it to my growing collection of jackets. My reasoning for this piece is that I don't own any short trenches. :)

It fits very well throughout and the faux leather trim at the pockets give it a nice edge that I like a lot.

Here's a recipe for Sweet & Spicy Almonds that is a surprisingly really healthy and tasty snack:

Ingredients:2 cups raw almonds1 tablespoon honey1/2 teaspoon chipotle1/4 teaspoon cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:1. In a skillet over medium heat, toast almonds for 5-6 minutes.2. Mix remaining ingredients and add to skillet, cooking for about 2 minutes. Stir continuously and coat thoroughly.33. Transfer coared nuts to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.4. Cool 15 minutes and then break up the chunks.
Yields 2 cups.

Zella Leggings Review + Stuffed Peppers Recipe

Here's one of the last few recipes I'll be sharing in a while since I still won't be able to cook due to my home renovations. This one is a healthy recipe for Stuffed Peppers. :)

Alaska Cruise + Big Surprise!

It has been extremely hectic at work lately, which has unfortunately led me to neglect this blog. :(
It also didn't help that I went on vacation to Alaska last week and am now going away again to South Africa tomorrow. However, my Alaskan cruise with my family (19 of us!) was an unforgettable experience since A (now my fiancee!) proposed to me at the top of the ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Here are a few snapshots from the trip:

I've been meaning to post a review on Ann Taylor's Petite Faux Leather Trim Trench Jacket, which I love! It's a short-length trench jacket with faux leather trim at the zippers, which is exactly what I like to see - classic pieces mixed with a bit of edginess. I don't want to delay any longer in case it sells out so I'll be posting a review later on after my trip from South Africa. I've also been meaning to post my monthly hauls, but they will just have to come later on and condensed in one post. What with ho…
