I'm not quite sure why, but I'm still gravitating towards maxi dresses (I mentioned them
here) when browsing online and in stores. I've recently just picked up two very summery ones - one from H&M and one from ASOS - and can't wait to wear them. :)
You can't tell from the photo but this dress has a sheer maxi outer layer with a shorter slip that hits above the knees underneath it. This is from their Divided line (a size 2 usually fits me but I will definitely have to get this shortened) and the top of the dress is made of their typical comfy/stretchy poly material.
This
ASOS Fishnet Insert Maxi Column Beach Dress caught my eye because it's modest in its length yet has fishnet detailing that is subtly alluring. I can see myself dressing it up for a party or wearing is casually to the beach. This is unfortunately not from their Petite line so I'll have to take it to the tailor to shorten it a few inches (I'm wearing my platform heels in the pic) but A thinks I should take off the entire bottom fishnet part so I'll have to play around with it before deciding what to do.
A and I are actually obsessed with the mini pizza bites I made (found on
Mind Over Munch) and ended up (fake) fighting over the last ones. I think the secret ingredient that makes these so tasty is really jut using frseh mozzarella cheese. :)
