Fendi Mini Peekaboo Bag + Old Navy Reviews

Image
After seeing Wendy's Lookbook's Fendi Mini Peekaboo Bag , I was very intrigued and discovered it comes in a light grey color with cobalt blue that I instantly became obsessed with. Since I couldn't stop thinking about it, I gave in and purchased it to see if it'll fulfill my on/off obsession to one day own a Hermes bag, especially since it reminds of the Kelly yet is more casual, which fits my style more. The Birkin is also more casual than the Kelly but I really dislike how it doesn't have an optional shoulder strap, which I find to be extremely important because convenience and comfort is so much more important to me now that I've gotten older. I've debated over whether I really want a Hermes bag for what it is or for what it represents, which is how it represents the bag of all bags to many, but haven't yet come to a solid conclusion. Anyway, I was so excited to finally get the Fendi Mini Peekaboo Bag , and I have to say I was very surprised by how s

Muji Luggage + Brining 101

Image
In this post here , I mentioned I picked up a Tumi Luggage Tegra-Lite International Carry-On Bag , which is perfect for the shorter domestic flights I take but I also want to share what I use for longer international flights, which is my trusty Muji Valise Hard Carry Travel Suitcase . When the handle of the only large suitcase I'd ever owned broke down on me while in Tokyo last year, my good friend suggested I buy either a Samsonite or Muji luggage since she said they're both highly recommended by her friends. Since I  was in Japan anyway, I decided to go for a Muji one. I still remember that rainy day in Tokyo, rushing to the store since my flight was that day, which I ultimately missed by the way. I walked into the store thinking I'd buy the largest one they had but realized the 85L size is huge, as in big enough to swallow me up, and so decided on the 60L, which is the same size as my old one and looks much better with me proportionately. I settled on beige for the color

November Haul + Ebates

Image
I can't believe it's December already! Here's this month's haul: The above pair of Christian Siriano for Payless Women's Krpytic Double Buckle Pumps was picked up on a whim when my family stopped by a few weeks ago. Because of A, I'm drawn to camo print and this pair was surprisingly comfy and cute (and affordable at $22). :) I tried these Christian Siriano for Payless Women's Krpytic Double Buckle Pumps on in Black too but don't need any more Black heels. I also want to mention to those of you who online shop that ebates.com has been really great for me. Since I signed up years ago, I've gotten a substantial amount of cash back. My sister and A both just signed up for it and regret not having signed up earlier. No matter what I buy, I always go to the website through ebates.com so I can get cash back for all my purchases and it honestly really adds up. A just recently signed up for it and now obsessively looks at the fluctuations i

Woodbury Commons Outlet Haul

Image
In order to complete some challenges set by our credit card company to earn points for our honeymoon, A and I opted to stay at a hotel near Woodbury Commons Outlet to do some shopping over the weekend. :) Below are a few snaps of some of the things I tried on. My first stop was, of course, LOFT, and I only ended up leaving with the two items in the middle. I felt the sparkly tank would be a nice way to spruce up my usual blazer uniform for work during the holidays and can be worn multiple ways with shorts and skirts too. The blue plaid dress was on sale and I didn't really think much of it on the hanger but the size 00P fit very well throughout so I decided to pick it up at $20. I thought the scalloped lace dress at the far right is very cute and flattering but it was a big no from A so I sadly put it back. Boots:  Tory Burch 'Jaden Strap Boots' .  Trying on some shoes: Left: Cole Haan. Right: Elie Tahari.  Trying on some shades: Left: BCBG Max Azria. Righ

October Haul + More

Image
Here's a snapshot of what I purchased in October and from the looks of it, I'm back in shopping mode again. The sweats I picked up from V.I.M. were done so when I went there with A who likes to shop there and the maxi skirts were on sale for about $7 each so I couldn't resist, especially since I've been wanting some summery maxi skirts; now I can wear them on my honeymoon. :)       I just realized I forgot to include two items in my previous August and September hauls! I picked up a pair of North Face Women's Etip Gloves while in Seattle during my Alaska cruise ship and forgot all about them until now because it was still so warm when I picked them up. As mentioned here in this post from last year, I did have a pair of touch gloves but they didn't fit very well so when I saw how perfectly these fit in a North Face store, I happily paid full price for them. I also want to note that they also offered these touch gloves in kid's sizes (times are cha

Engagement Photos (Tip #2) + Uniqlo/Nordstrom Bobeau Review

Image
I'm so excited to share some of my enagement photos! First though, I had to decide what to wear and just picked up a Textured Knit Skater Skirt in White from Forever 21 the weekend before it just for the occasion. I already knew I wanted to wear primarily black since that's all A wears but thought the white skirt would be a nice touch. In the end, I was deciding between wearing all black with the white skirt or wear a grey pleather jacket since I've decided on grey as a wedding theme color. OUTFIT ON RIGHT: Jacket: Venus Faux Leather Sleeve Sweater . Tank: H&M Pima Cotton Tank Top . Skirt: F orever 21 Textured Knit Skater Skirt . Tights: Uniqlo Women's Heattech Tights . In the end, I finally decided to go with all black so I would match A better an

Burberry Brit Daylesmoore Coat Review + Zucchini Pizza Bites

Image
Ok, so I just purchased the Burberry Brit Daylesmoore coat and I love it! It'll be my fourth Burberry jacket but to justify it, I am very much in need of a new wool coat for winter and my other three Burberry jackets are very light and unsuitable for really cold weather. I initially bought this coat from Saks Fifth Avenue but after realizing they don't offer free alterations like Burberry does, I repurchased it from a Burberry store. As mentioned above, I absolutely love it. The size 0 fits so well throughout and the only alterations needed are to shorten the sleeve length and shift up the belt loops. I'm still waiting for the altered coat to come in but just wanted to share now since it's getting so cold now. It feels like it's winter already! Coat: Burberry Brit Daylesmoore Coat . Pants: LOFT legging jeans (old). Shoes: Melissa Jean + Jason Wu Cutout Jelly Ballet Flats . Here will most likely be my last recipe for quite a while. I won't be able to cook

Picking THE Dress: David's Bridal, Kleinfeld, RK Bridal..!

Image
Being so tiny, (under 4' 11"), I thought it would be really difficult trying on wedding dresses and deciding what kind of dress I would want but I was very surprised and happy to find that it's so easy to clip back a size 10 or size 12 dress to see how it would look on a much smaller frame. All in all, I tried on around 60 dresses before I found "the one", but more on that later. Here's a little summary of all the places I went and my process for choosing my dress. My very first stop was David's Bridal and I was extremely happy to find out they carry Melissa Sweet gowns because I fell in love with this designer's dresses over 8 years ago when I helped my sister plan her wedding. Melissa Sweet's designs are just really sweet and really appealed to me so when I got to David's Bridal, I mainly tried on different silhouettes and mostly Melissa Sweet gowns. September Haul + Dominica!

Everything from September's Haul was actually purchased in South Africa, as mentioned in the last post :)    *EDIT: Not everything is from South Africa! I forgot to include this piece, which I picked up from Old Navy girl's. :) And here's some pics from my DR trip with A, which is also most likely my last trip of the year: What I miss so much - buffet, all day everyday Hammock time Chess time Sad to leave this paradise October haul to hopefully come soon!
